Every summer, CC Bloom’s Summer Love Market becomes one of my favourite rituals — a gathering of small businesses, flower growers, and food trucks that feels like the heart of Shuswap summertime. But it’s wandering through their flower farm that stays with me long after the market ends. That’s where I first saw these roses glowing as if they had swallowed the sun.

Painted in watercolor, these blooms seem lit from within — the sunlight filtering through their petals, turning each layer into a veil of colour. Against the minimalist split-colour background, the roses become the entire story: blue above, like a July afternoon sky; warm earth below, echoing the soil that nurtured them.
