Apricot Parrot Tulip | Framed Original Watercolor Painting

"Apricot Parrot Tulip" was inspired by one of my favourite tulips in my garden. When I first moved to British Columbia, I spent a lot of time searching for unique flowers to plant, and this variety quickly became a favourite. Drawn to its ruffled petals and soft apricot tones, I chose it as the subject of my first floral watercolor painting. Set against a deep blue background, the flower takes centre stage, allowing its shape and colour to become the focus of this artwork. While this painting started on a whim, it sparked an interest in flowers that continues to influence my work today.
